Riassunto:"The use of religious language in the Ecuadorian political discourse of the 21st century" is a document that presents an existing problem in the political discourse of the national context of the new century, because it has been used uninterruptedly, particularly by those politicians that move a large number of electorate. Its main objective analyzes this linguistic resource to determine its impact on the political, social and cultural aspects. A qualitative and descriptive approach methodology was used, to complement them with the technique and instruments that correspond to the indirect observation of the conservatory units of analysis. All these insights allowed us to conclude, based on the linguistic and hermeneutic theoretical foundation, that the main political protagonists who activate the religious language, including Abdalá Bucaram, Álvaro Noboa and Rafael Correa, attributed and instrumentalized the popular elements of religion to legitimize political projects . His speeches contain nuances according to the (metaphors, parallels, and repetitions), allowing us to glimpse religious connotations that range from his approach to Catholicism, his messianic leadership and his relationship with liberation theology.
