| Riassunto: | Pain in the lower back or more specifically low back pain is one of the main causes of functional and occupational disability, most of the population suffers pain in their lower back. The pain in most cases is produced by physical exertion, bad postures or is associated with other syndromes. The chronification of the symptoms is produced by muscular, articular and psychosocial factors causing incapacity in the activities of the daily life. Therefore, a study will be carried out to determine the effectiveness of the Neuromuscular Facilitation Technique for low back pain in patients who come to the physiotherapy area of the Red Cross Provincial Board of Chimborazo. A search of the data through the inductive method will be performed through an initial and final evaluation with the EVA Scale and the Goniometric Test to observe the evolution of low back pain after the application of the technique. For that, 30 patients diagnosed with low back pain were evaluated, of which 53% were women and 47% were men. With ages between 20 and 40 years; The most affected occupation was in public workers. Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stimulates the organic proprioceptors allowing specific responses of the neuromuscular system, so that in applying this technique was obtained in 70% of patients a decrease in the degrees of pain that were evaluated according to the scale of VAS. The articular amplitude of the lumbar spine was recovered and increased by 90% after treatment. The proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation technique has been shown to be effective in the treatment of low back |
