Summary:This research discloses the results obtained in research on children's story as a methodological strategy to promote the development of creative thinking of children of preschool and early education center “San Rafael” in Pre-k 2 class “A” in the Province of Chimborazo, academic term 2015 2016. The research method used is the scientist through inductive and deductive methods, type of research is descriptive, and the research design, literature documentary and field as it aims to solve the problem that exists. We worked with 34 children, the technique used is the observation with his instrument, the observation sheet. The tabulation shows significant achievements in the process. Also, the story as a methodological strategy allowed the children, in the process, develop creative thinking. The report found the conclusions obtained with this research work and the respective suggestions with the aim of improving teaching and learning processes, determining the application of classroom projects that become one of the best strategies to overcome difficulties in terms of creative competition. So, the story as a methodological strategy is aimed at educational progress for the development of the child.
