Ամփոփում:ABSTRACT: The aim of the present study was to analyze the scientific evidence related to the causes and risk factors of acute obstructive abdomen, as well as its appropriate diagnosis and treatment. The study was carried out using a qualitative approach. Theoretical research method was used, gathering information from bibliographic sources. A systematic review of the literature was applied to analyze the results obtained in previous studies and a systematic review matrix was used to organize the relevant data. The study population included all studies and research developed in the last 5 years and published in reliable scientific databases. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to select appropriate studies. The final sample consisted of 25 open access scientific publications. The results of the study revealed that acute obstructive abdomen is related to pathologies such as cancer, hernias and volvulus. Triggering risk factors were identified and the methodology used in previous studies for the clinical management of this condition was analyzed. It was found that early and timely diagnosis is essential to avoid invasive treatments and complications. The discussion of the main results achieved in previous research highlighted the importance of a correct physical examination and the use of imaging studies to guide the diagnosis. In addition, the need for adequate treatment based on the etiology of the clinical picture was emphasized. Keywords: Acute abdomen, Obstruction, Diagnosis, Treatment, risk factors.
