Summary:This research is oriented to the diagnostic and redesign of the drinking water system in Santa Rosa de Tzetzeñag community, the same one that complies with the stipulated in the design rules in this way improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries of this project, so that in the actuality do not meet with this basic service essential for daily living. In Santa Rosa de Tzetzeñag exist a drinking water system of Open Network with a single branch which has been disabled for about 8 years, since the slope from which water is extracted has been, exhausted thus implementing a branch from the reservoir tank of San Jose de Guaruñag community there are approximately 40 houses that do not have the service, While 85 remaining houses have the service, for an approximate time of 6 hours daily. The drinking water system will be designed for 20 years and will provide the service to a future population of 311 inhabitants of the community. The current flow of the drinking water system is of 1.006 l/s , with the realization of the project the flow will get a total of 1.70 l/s, which will be distributed covering the projected demand. Actually the system has a reservoir of 60 m3 which is located in the dimension 3256.24 m.snnn.m, which will be given a maintenance. It is proposed the building of a catchment type slope which has a flow of 0,561 l/s in the quota of 3014.54, with a load tank with a capacity of 15m3 from which will be pumped a flow of 2.17l/s for a period of 8 hours daily with a submersible pump 6SR70G200 PEDROLLO DE 6” of 20 HP. For the line of impulse will be used PVC pipeline of 50mm of 1.00 Mpa. that will be of 909.50m of length and to save a Total dynamic height of 314.90m. For the distribution was made in an Open Network with five main branches and five secondary branches with PVC pipeline of 60mm and 40mm in diameter and the length of the system is 3930.93m, then 9 tanks will be built to break pressures, in addition it will be provided with a home connection to each user.
