Sažetak:This research objective was to determine the impact of the training course aimed at parents of students with special educational needs. The research was developed from a descriptive nature, with a qualitative approach using a non-experimental design and correlational scope to complement them with the inductive method. It was carried out in an urban public educational unit with 34 parents and nine teachers of the elementary, middle, and higher EGB sublevels, and to obtain the results of the investigation, the satisfaction survey technique was applied. The instrument was the file assessment that helped measure the achievements of the course. The most relevant results are that the parents declare a high level of satisfaction with the knowledge received. On the other hand, the teachers establish a high impact of the course in improving the parents as pedagogical companions at home. The children with NEE social skills increased, and the teacher-parent communication level improved substantially. In conclusion, it can be established that the training module aimed at parents of students with special educational needs fulfilled the established purpose, where practical and playful conceptual elements were provided that allowed strengthening the pedagogical support provided by parents to their children. It is important to emphasize that this training course was adapted to the needs and expectations of the educational community, providing the necessary tools to generate the strengthening of parents as assertive pedagogical companions.
