| Gaia: | The present investigation characterizes the imaginaries of marginality in the novel, “Un Amor” (2020) by Sara Mesa, based on the study of its character system, to understand the relationships with the chronotope. The general objective is to characterize the imaginaries of marginality in the novel Un amor by Sara Mesa. A qualitative approach and a bibliographic or documentary typology were assumed, as well as a study based on the collection, selection, analysis and presentation of relevant information on a specific topic, which allowed obtaining significant results regarding the springs and discourses of marginality, where the environment and social relations that connect the characters, in the same way, the power dynamics that configure these realities, contribute to an understanding of marginality as a radiating center of imaginaries and dehumanization. The research highlights the need to carry out analysis of works that address the issue of imaginaries of marginality, because it allows us to understand how social perceptions are constructed and copied in a group of excluded people. The results reveal that the space constructs an imaginary of exclusion through Escape, since it is a hostile and rural place, in the same way the characters presented belong to the group that is excluded from a society due to the perceptions of power and submission. |
