Čoahkkáigeassu:The main objective of this research is to structure the components of visual communication and their influence on the tourist signaling of the community of Nizag of the Alausí canton, province of Chimborazo, thus it was determined whether there is an adequate signaling system or, on the contrary, a system obsolete or lacking in any of its functions of informing or guiding tourists, in addition, the analysis of the main tourist attractions was proposed to know if new signs should be implemented or existing ones should be improved. Therefore, through this research, several factors were examined to determine how the sender, the message and the receiver influence tourist signage, through an evaluation of the image, the state of the signage and the material of which they are composed by means of a study technical; conducted through field research and analysis of quantitative methods. The proposal that was made consisted of structuring an adequate signaling system, which served for the Nizag community to increase the flow of tourists, where the hiker increases their satisfaction and has a comprehensive experience of everything the community offers so that then go more frequently. This research project helps the Nizag community for its tourism development and to improve the tourist experience, since with better signage the tourist can consume all the services and products that the Nizag community offers and that are focused on giving to know their Puruhá culture, the products of nature that they use to make their crafts and the beauty of their landscapes. The investigation has an extension of four chapters that begins with chapter one defining the problem that has been detected in the community of Nizag, which was identified as a deficient signaling system; to later make the pertinent justification that serves to improve the tourist information system. Then the objectives and hypotheses were raised and later confirmed. Chapter two frames all the bibliographic material; In the third chapter, the methodology was developed, which has a documentary, field nature, which applied statistical techniques to validate the hypothesis by means of the rho correlation statistic. Finally, the results were reflected in chapter four.
