Sammanfattning:This research reveals the reality of the tourist destination of Lago Agrio, province of Sucumbíos, by relating the variable of the Tourism Product and Tourism Promotion with its dimensions. The degree of relationship between tourist attractions, tourist services, infrastructure, and tourism promotion is determined. The research design is non- experimental, correlational and descriptive, cross-sectional. Qualitative and quantitative, exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, and case study types of research are adopted. Empirical methods, mathematical statistical methods, expert methods, methods of analysis, and synthesis of information sources are declared. It is concluded from the relationship between the variables and the dimensions of the independent variable with the dependent variable. The perception of tourist visitors to the destination does not correspond with the criteria of the staff of the Tourism Directorate of the GAD, pointing out the low proactivity and public leadership approach in the development of the destination. The absence of evidence when considering the state of the goal leads to subjectivity that does not reflect the current reality.
