סיכום:The research titled "Obesity and the Level of Physical Activity in University Students" aims to analyze the relationship between obesity and physical activity levels among university students. This study adopts a quantitative research approach with a cross-sectional design and incorporates applied field research and descriptive methodology. This methodological approach identified relationships between obesity and physical activity levels among university students. The defined population for the research consists of first-semester students from the National University of Chimborazo, with a sample size of 456 students from the Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Technology. Data collection on obesity involved using anthropometric measurement tables to evaluate body mass index (BMI) and determine obesity levels. Data on physical activity levels was collected using a pedometer application to record students' daily physical activity accurately. The analysis and processing phase of the data utilized Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics software. The findings revealed that students participating in the intervention program provided a more comprehensive analysis of the potential correlations between obesity and physical activity levels. This study seeks to offer a holistic view of the factors influencing obesity in the university context and contribute to promoting healthier habits and improved lifestyles among students.
