总结:Eating disorders (Ed) significantly affect not only the biological, psychological or emotional area, but also affect the cognitive functioning of those who suffer from it. The objective of this research was to determine the cognitive disorders in patients with eating disorders specifically anorexia (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN). The work consists of a literature review of cross-sectional design of descriptive level. The population is comprised of 623 scientific articles published from 2014 to 2024 in Spanish, English and Portuguese, the sample was non-probabilistic and consisted of 41 quantitative studies. The selection criteria were applied along with the literature search algorithm for filtering. The research used is based on databases such as PubMed, Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, Elsevier. As techniques we used the literature review and documentary quality, as for the instruments we applied the literature review form and the CRF-QS matrix. The results of the research showed that the altered cognitive functions are mainly executive functions, attention, memory and minority in praxias. Body mass index (BMI) is considered a significant factor in cognitive functioning status. In adults there is a greater impairment in executive functions in cognitive processes, while in teenagers, difficulties in emotional processes predominate. In conclusion, the apt can infer on functioning at the cognitive level, a low BMI can increase the impairment of cognitive functions and differentiation of the cognitive area in adolescents and adults in this disorder is certainly influenced by the stage and development they go through.
