Riassunto:This research aimed to determine the impact of child and youth abuse on family bond development by means of a literature review in order to describe the different types of abuse in child and youth population and to characterize the types of family bonds that can be found in this population. Methodology: This research is a quantitative approach, descriptive level, which allowed to describe the variables characteristics of child abuse and family bonds; and bibliographic type in which we collected scientific articles that have methodological quality standards between 2014 and 2024 by means of a search algorithm, using databases such as: Scopus, Science Direct, Google Scholar, ProQuest, Gale, Scielo, Research Gate, PubMed and Dialnet. Population: Consisting of 390 scientific articles and following the selection and methodological quality assessment process (Critical Review Form-Quantitative Stufies CRF-QS), we obtained 43 study articles. The selected articles were analyzed by means of a theoretical triangulation matrix that made it possible to relate the variables. Results: They reported that the most common type of abuse was physical, followed by psychological and sexual abuse carried out mainly by parental figures towards children. Concerning the development within the family bond, there is evidence that child abuse within the home generates insecure and avoidant bonds; they also reveal poor emotional control, which leads to the development of anxious bonds, thereby affecting family interaction and behavior.
