Comparación de la Colecistostomía Percutánea vs Colecistectomía Laparoscópica en la colecistitis aguda como opciones terapéuticas.

Acute cholecystitis represents one of the main surgical emergencies worldwide, whose adequate care depends on a correct therapeutic selection. In this research work, a comparison was made between percutaneous cholecystostomy and laparoscopic cholecystectomy as applicable interventions in the treatment of this pathology, considering their effectiveness, risks, complications, and recovery times according to the degree of clinical severity of the patient. A bibliographic review of the narrative type was developed, guided by the PICO and PRISMA methodological strategies, which allowed for the rigorous organization of recent scientific evidence published in indexed databases. The results of the review showed that laparoscopic cholecystectomy continues to be the preferred treatment in stable patients, since it offers a faster recovery and a lower risk of complications. Nevertheless, percutaneous cholecystostomy emerges as a valuable alternative in individuals with comorbidities or high surgical risk, even acting as a bridge therapy in certain clinical contexts.
