It was analyzed the cultural heritage of the cemetery working with a dependent variable "Equipment Registration and Funeral Inventory ", and an independent variable "Cataloging the Personal Property" based on the INPC cataloging files, a personal file was made to carried out the study, and to research about the legends as well as about famous people who were buried at the cemetery.. The completion of the Registration and Inventory of Funeral Equipment facilitated the investigation and as a result the cemetery has very little cultural heritage regarding to Personal Property. For this reason the cemetery cannot be considerate as a necropolis. |

For this reason the cemetery cannot be considerate as a necropolis.La presente investigación propone el Registro e Inventario del Equipamiento Funerario de los Bienes Muebles del Cementerio General de Riobamba, se inició en el mes de abril del año 2012. Se analizó el patrimonio cultural del Cementerio trabajando con una variable dependiente “Registro e Inventario del Equipamiento Funerario”, y con una variable independiente “Catalogación de los Bienes Muebles” basándonos en las fichas de inventario del INPC, se realizó una ficha propia para poder realizar el Inventario, e investigar las leyendas y los personajes ilustres que posee el Cementerio. La realización del Registro e Inventario del Equipamiento Funerario nos ayudó para saber que el Cementerio posee muy poco Patrimonio Cultural en lo que es Bienes Muebles. Es por ello que el Cementerio no puede llegar a ser una Necrópolis como se tenía considerado.
