“Diseño e implementación del plan de gestión de seguridad y salud ocupacional en los laboratorios de ensayo de materiales - suelos y pavimentos, control de calidad de materiales de construcción y topografía en la carrera de Ingeniería Civil de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo”

The objective of this research is to design and implement an Occupational Safety and Health Management Plan for Civil Engineering Career Laboratories of the “Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo” in order to improve the job environment in the installation and minimize risks for those who are exposed to the use of laboratories. This research was based on an initial diagnosis to determine the current situation and the analysis of generalize knowledge in the field of occupational safety and health, identification, measurement and evaluation of occupational hazards, and compliance with legal norms among others in order to consolidate the information as a useful tool and applicable to management plan in the laboratories.Through the risk assessment matrix it was possible to determine that in the soil laboratory the chemical risk factor is intolerable due to the presence of particles of matter (PM2.5 - PM10) and a concentration of 0.47 and 0.19 respectively, the analysis of the physical risk factor, the exposure of a noise reached an average value of 99.7 and 92.9 dB (A). In conclusion, this research tries to implement improvements with technical bases of an adequate execution in the management plan of civil engineering career at Unach in order to guarantee a safer and healthier work environment.
