Samenvatting:The present research work with the theme: children's stories in the development of language for the understanding in children of 3 to 4 years of the educational unit "Fe y Alegría" in the period 2018, this topic addressed as the main objective to determine the importance of children's stories in the development of language for understanding in children from 3 to 4 years old, it is important to carry out this research since children's stories motivate children to improve reading comprehension; teachers are also provided with new alternatives to motivate reading, the design of the research was non-experimental, it was of an explanatory and descriptive type, the level of the research was cross-sectional, to measure the oral language an observation sheet was used, The same one that was applied to a sample was conformed by: 20 students. The conclusions showed that children's stories are significant in the development of oral language in children from 3 to 4 years of the educational unit "Fe y Alegría" in the period 2018.
