Descripción
Summary:This research aims to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence on the job performance of employees at Cooperativa de Ahorro, Inversión y Crédito Duchicela. In a changing and competitive business environment, it is crucial to understand how skills such as self-control, empathy, self-regulation, and motivation affect employee performance. A quantitative methodology, with a non-experimental design and a descriptive approach, was used through the application of a survey questionnaire to the 15 members of the cooperative. The findings reveal emotional deficiencies, particularly in stress management, communication, personal recognition, and conflict resolution —factors that directly impact productivity and the work environment. Finally, five intervention strategies were developed: emotional workshops, active breaks, coaching sessions, active listening areas, and emotional leadership empowerment, to promote a healthy, motivating, and collaborative work environment. The implementation of these strategies aims to enhance emotional capacities, promote the well-being of the organization, and strengthen the business culture, ensuring sustainable growth within the entity.
