| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The main objective of this research was to characterize emotional regulation and academic procrastination in university students. The methodology used was bibliographic and descriptive. The population consisted of 2015 scientific articles found in databases such as Scielo, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Dialnet, and Redalyc, published between 2014- 2024, while the sample was non-probabilistic based on criteria, consisting of 46 scientific papers. The methodological quality is guaranteed through applying the CRFQS instrument (Critical Review Form- Quantitative Studies). The results obtained were in most of the studies, it was evidenced that university students present medium-level difficulties in emotional regulation, i.e., they have complications in the ability to feel, understand, and recognize emotions, as well as in the use of appropriate strategies to regulate affective responses in the university stage. Regarding academic procrastination,high and moderate levels prevail; they frequently postpone the development of their activities, leaving them for the end voluntarily and unnecessarily, which can generate multiple psychological discomforts. It is necessary to emphasize that procrastination can also predispose to difficulties in emotional regulation. |
