| Resumo: | This research objective is to analyze from a historical perspective the resettlement of the population of the Pelileo canton after the earthquake of August 5, 1949, so that in the first chapter the referential framework is carried out in which the problem statement is analyzed, the background related to our study, the theoretical foundation related to the subject, the methodology it means techniques and instruments used in this research and its specific objectives, the first is to describe the conditions in which the population began the resettlement process of the Pelileo canton which is currently known through the review of newspapers of that time, bibliography and villagers experiences, this can be identified during chapter two, the second objective is to identify the main actors who contributed to the resettlement process, this objective is related to the later chapter the protagonists that managed to contribute to this process appear in it, and the third objective is related to the resettlement process and the temporary economic resurgence of the Pelileo canton, it is reviewed in the fourth chapter as a bibliographic review about the economy before, during and after the earthquake, it means what was the capital of the canton based on. Within the whole study it can be seen that the resettlement process goes through 4 stages, which are analyzed in chapters two and four, this process is proposed by Sccuder and Colsom in (1982) and finally, the conclusions which will be the product of this study. |
