This data was used to calibrate the model and simulate climate, soil, and land cover conditions in the Chambo River sub-basin. The model produced the flow rate at the outlet of the study area. The research addresses the lack of water resources information in Chimborazo province. Water is essential for daily life in this and other locations. Therefore, it must be quantified and analyzed to determine whether the amount entering and leaving the system is balanced |

Therefore, it must be quantified and analyzed to determine whether the amount entering and leaving the system is balancedEl presente trabajo de investigación se enfoca en realizar el análisis del comportamiento hidrológico y la capacidad de adaptación que tiene la subcuenca del río Chambo durante el periodo 1980-2021, esto en un contexto de un evidente cambio climático, el cual sumado a las diferentes actividades antrópicas como el cambio de la cobertura vegetal debido a actividades agrícolas y el crecimiento urbano provocan cambios tanto en el suelo como en el agua ,haciendo que el objetivo principal sea caracterizar las tendencias climáticas e hidrológicas para lograr cuantificar el balance hídrico general del sistema.
