Resumo:This study, titled “Neuropsychological Intervention Program to Improve Academic Performance in Sixth-Grade Children at the Mercedes Amelia Guerrero Elementary School,” investigates the crucial link between neuropsychological functions and academic success. It identifies specific areas for improvement and develop targeted intervention strategies. The research underscores the importance of brain development in academic performance, highlighting the relationship between functions like working memory, attention, visual auditory ability, and visual-auditory integration and overall academic achievement. The primary goal of this study was to design a neuropsychological intervention program to enhance the academic performance of sixth-grade students at the “Mercedes Amelia Guerrero” Elementary School. To achieve this, a quantitative approach with a pre experimental design was employed. Data was collected using the Neuropsychological Evaluation of Executive Functioning in Children (ENFEN) and by obtaining students’ overall grade point averages. The collected data was then analyzed using SPSS 26 to determine statistical correlations. The findings revealed that a significant number of students experience challenges with memory, attention, and executive functions. This highlights the critical need for psychoeducational approaches that can boost children’s learning and support their holistic development. After implementing the intervention program, the study observed positive and statistically significant results, leading to the conclusion that the program is effective in improving academic performance.
