Özet: | The present research has as its theme " The self-esteem in the academic performance in children of the fourth year, class "B" of basic education of the Educational Unit "Isabel de Godin" in the city of Riobamba, province of Chimborazo, period 2015-2016, after having analyzed the situation of the problems affecting this institution in the first chapter was justified the feasibility of performing this research, in its second chapter as the theoretical foundation of the first variable that is self-esteem has been investigated on its importance, stages, dimensions, phases, features, I have also provided activities to motivate learners as direct beneficiaries. In the second variable that deals with the academic performance has been investigated their characteristics, importance, types, factors and the relationship between the two variables of the study. The variables with which we worked is the self-esteem as the independent variable and the academic performance as the dependent variable for this research we used the scientific method because it enabled us to discover of an internal and external way the natural and social situations being this research of a documentary type because it supported in different bibliographies corresponding to the two variables and field because it relied on theoretical information the same as that applied to the reality allowing us to obtain data in real conditions, the research design is not experimental because it is not involved in either of the two variables, the population with which this work was done is 35 students here no sample was taken due to the minimum number of students after applying the instrument in this case, the evaluation questionnaire is drawn clearly and objectively, developed with closed questions in order to clarify the answers for the subject matter. |
