| Résumé: | ABSTRAC Ergonomic risk factors are work activities that generate musculoskeletal diseases and musculoskeletal disorders, producing an acute or chronic occupational disease as an effect. The objective was to analyze the ergonomic risk factors of the nursing professional who works in critical units. A documentary-type study was carried out, through a review of published documents based on the proposed topic, as a result of the search 115 articles were obtained, selected taking into account electronic databases of digital platforms registered worldwide, same as after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample made up of 62 bibliographic sources was obtained. The analysis for the preparation of the research was developed in two stages: The first through critical reading and the second a triangulation with the information collected, in which a table was constructed that exposes the ergonomic risk factors; as well as the registry of pathologies and strategies for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, according to the criteria of the authors. Geometric factors cause more physical wear and tear and cause alterations in a greater number of anatomical structures. The most frequent pathologies related to ergonomics in nursing work are low back pain, back pain, cervical pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. Prevention strategies are based on the modification of intra-work activities, in addition to highlighting education, updating and evaluation of ergonomic health improvement by nursing leaders Keywords: ergonomics, nursing, risk factors, musculoskeletal pain.
