Determinantes de la balanza comercial del Ecuador 2002-2017

An exhaustive investigation allowed to establish the causes of the variations of the determinants of the Trade Balance of Ecuador period 2002-2017. This work aimed to verify the influence of the determinants on the behavior of the Ecuadorian trade balance. For the analysis, said macroeconomic determinants are represented by the production, processing and sale of traditional and non-traditional products, Real Exchange Rate, Short-Term Economic Activity Index and United States Industrial Production Index; A statistical approach was used, in order to know the behavior of the variables, for which, each variable has been analyzed through statistical tables and graphs, which show its evolution in the study period. Finally, through a model of Error Correction Vectors (VEC), it showed a relationship in the short and long term; establishing a positive and relevant relationship demonstrating a balance of the Determinants of the Trade Balance. The research has different sections – the first and the second detail the introduction, which caused the research and the objetives. The third second points out state of the art, where it objectively specifies the background and theoretical foundation of the subject matter. In the fourth section, he explains the methodology used to carry out the research, and obtain results. Finally, the fifth section determines the conclusions and recommendations.
