Gaia:Osteoporosis is a public health disease characterized by a decrease in bone mineral density, resulting in increased bone fragility and consequently the risk of fractures, which in turn affects the autonomy and quality of life of people, both physically, psychologically and socially. The Feldenkrais method is a technique that stimulates the nervous system through the execution of conscious movements that promote self-awareness in order to improve balance, bone mineral density, muscle strength and reduce pain. The present study sought to analyze the effects of the Feldenkrais method in patients with osteoporosis. A bibliographic type methodology was used, following a collection and analysis of scientific articles from the databases: PubMed, PEDro, Google Scholar, Elsevier, Cochrane Library and ProQuest, which were developed under the parameters of the PEDro scale. Thus, 35 articles were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria necessary for the development of the research work. Studies show that the Feldenkrais method in patients with Osteoporosis improves balance, bone mineral density, muscle strength, walking speed, decreases pain and it was demonstrated that people who are physically active develop more cognitive function. The results show the positive effects of the method, important to improve the quality of life and independence of people with this condition.
