Tóm tắt:The water of a specific stretch of Chibunga River micro-basin was monitored at four sampling points, during the rainy season, to determine the quality of its waters, with the study of physicochemical and microbiological analyzes in addition to analyzing the macroinvertebrates present, which also helped to determine the quality of the water. Tours were carried out within this section of the study, starting in the Ricpamba sector and ending in the Ecological Park sector, where activities that cause contaminated water could observe. The main environmental problems that affect this section of the micro-basin are related to direct discharges of domestic and industrial water, the presence of garbage, agricultural, livestock, and recreational activities. The Water Quality Index was carried out with the calculated and proposed parameters: pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, BOD5, fecal coliforms, phosphates, nitrates, total suspended solids, turbidity. Variables that have not been considerably affected are pH and nitrates, but in the lower part of the study section, the quality is affected from Fair to Poor in variables such as BOD5 and phosphates. According to the value of fecal coliforms, the water quality within the study area is Terrible. According to the ETP value obtained with the analysis of macroinvertebrates, the water quality is Poor. The average water quality for this specific section of the micro-basin is 59%, which indicates a Regular or Moderately contaminated status
