Summary: | The following research project is a descriptive-cross-sectional observational study with a qualitative approach; the objetive was to determine compliance with patient safety standards, which provides profesional nursing care in the emergency service of the Riobamba General Teaching Hospital, in the period October 2018-February 2019. The study population comprised of 30 nursing professionals, who participated freely and voluntarily, to obtain information, a survey was carried out validated by professionals in the nursing career, which is divided into two sections: sociodemographic data and questions that is subdivided into three safe, practical sections: administrative, assistance and administrative/assistance, the answers are dichotomous throughout the instrument. In Table N°2 97% represents critical the asseeement that is made to the patient in the triage, 100% reflects as very important to the positioning of the bacelet as identification of the patient, 93% consider fundamental the protocol of hand washing, 67% very often notifies when an error is made, 83%very regularly communicates the damage to the equipment, 67% totally agree that the procedures concerning patient safety are adequate for the prevention of errors, 100%afree entirely on the permanente training of infusion pumps, with these results edicational material was elaborated base don the learning needs identified in the nursing profesional. |
