الملخص:The present investigation studied the relation between the memory and the significant learning of the second semester students in Psychopedagogy Career, Education, Human and Technologies Sciences Faculty of Universidad de Nacional de Chimborazo, composed by between 8 men and 20 women. Since memory is a cognitive-psychological process of fundamental character in the learning of the person, because it is responsible for storing encoded information, there are also different types of memory that can be used in the educational act. Meaningful learning is a set of experiences acquired over a period of time, which in their moment of evocation are interrelated with the new learning that is acquired at the time of teaching. Methodologically, the qualitative research approach was used. This work is field, bibliographic, transversal by research is descriptive and correlational. The sample was intentional non-probabilistic type established in students. The instruments for data collection were the survey consisting of 10 items, in addition to other techniques and resources, the IBM SPSS statistics program for the respective analysis of the data obtained. Where it was possible to demonstrate that there is a correlation between memory and meaningful learning, a student presents his way of learning when internalising new contents, that is to say; memory is of an important character in educational training.
