Résumé:Summary The English language learning is a procedure that must be given in a didactic and funny environment, considering the techniques and methodologies that are used to obtain significative learning. This rease4rach is produced by the observation done at Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe “Monseñor Leonidas Proaño” to the students of the second year of baccalaureate “A”, who have difficulties in the speaking skill when they use English language in the learning process. It noticed the interference of the mother tongue (Quichua), that provokes confusion of the sounds (English and Quichua).For this reason the used of role play technique is suggested to improve this skill. The information data were recopilated through the application of survey, which determined the interference level of the mother tongue (Quichua) that provokes when the new language is used.
