| Sumari: | ABSTRACT This research aimed to analyze the coping strategies and emotional intelligence in health personnel in the face of the death of patients, a bibliographic review was carried out with a mixed approach, made up of a population of 76 documents published between the years 2015-2021, in different scientific and indexed journals such as: Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Refseek, Springer link, Proquest and academic Google, used as sources of information collection. A sample of 39 documents selected in the following way was obtained: 27 scientific articles, 3 books and 9 undergraduate theses. From the results obtained, it was determined that the adaptability component is the type of emotional intelligence most used by health professionals in 69%, it was also identified that the neutral level of coping strategies was 73.8% more representative in the population. In relation to the results obtained, coping strategies were proposed aimed at health personnel, with the purpose of developing skills that can be used in the event of the death of patients, to prevent future alterations that compromise the physical and psychological state of the professionals.
