Part of the quantitative approach to be measurable psychometrically, not experimental, cross-sectional, field and descriptive. The Self-concept Scale Form 5 (AF5) by García and Musitu, and the Walker Lifestyle Scale, Sechrist Pender, were used. For the processing and interpretation of the obtained data, the statistical programs Microsoft Excel and SPSS 23.0 were used, obtaining the following results: Regarding self-concept, a greater percentage (of five dimensions) was observed in the emotional dimension, high level, men 41.7% ; low level, women 42.1%. As regards the lifestyle (unhealthy and healthy), a higher percentage was observed in the unhealthy lifestyle, men 55.9%, women 42.4%; and, in the healthy lifestyle, men 44.1%, women 57.6%; unhealthy lifestyle mostly in men and, healthy lifestyle mostly in women. Concluded that the perception, regarding the self-concept, in the population studied, is greater on the corresponding physical appearance and / or self-image; likewise, the healthy and unhealthy lifestyle of the people within our social context was determined, matching the results obtained with the culture of consumerism and other alienating factors at currently.
