| Sumari: | Evans syndrome is an autoimmune disease characterized by the production of auto antibodies directed against specific cells in the human body. It destroys red blood cells, platelets and frequently neutrophils. Its a pathophysiological mechanism is still unclear, but its clinical manifestations and complications considerably affect the health status of patients. The objective of this research was to carry out a bibliographic review about the clinical and therapeutic management of Evans Syndrome in adults. To achieve the objective, basic research was carried out, with a descriptive, retrospective and transversal design that consisted of a systematic bibliographic review that included as a universe a total of 72 documents related to the research topic and publication in recent years. 5 years. 25 documents were used as part of the research sample. The review was carried out using regional and high-impact databases (Latindex, Lilacs, Scielo, Redalyc, Scopus, Medline, PubMed, and Ice Web of Science), with the help of Boolean operators (AND y OR) and health descriptors (MeSH, EMTREE or DeCS). The main results of the study are aimed at summarizing the characteristics of Evans syndrome that differentiate it from other causes of anemia and at reviewing the therapeutic management of the disease. It is concluded that there are elements that help suspect the disease such as clinical characteristics, laboratory results and the differential exclusion of other types of diseases. |
