Summary:The objective of this research was to determine the impact of Wellness at work in the emotional, physical and social dimensions on the quality of life of the administrative staff of the National University of Chimborazo, due to the high rate of sedentary lifestyles and physical inactivity, which triggers a series of personal problems. In order to reach the proposed objective, a research with quantitative approach was carried out, with a field research design, of transversal character, of quasi-experimental type; a survey of professional quality of life (CVP-35) was used as a research instrument for a probabilistic sample, working with an intervention group of 30 administrators conformed by 23 women and 7 men and a control group of 10 people for a population of 70 administrators that conform the work group of the building A and H of the Dolorosa campus. The results showed that; workload, mental effort (stress), physical discomfort, pressure to maintain the quantity and quality of work, have direct impact of Wellness at work and indicate in the quality of life since they affect the balance of the physical, emotional and social dimensions addressed in the Wellness at work, since these factors raised in the CVP-35 had the highest frequency with the degree of dissatisfaction of "A lot" and "Quite a lot". In this way, through the intervention of a program of active breaks in 17 sessions during 5 tables and progressive times of 10, 15 and 20 minutes, it was possible to reduce their degree of dissatisfaction to a scale of "Some" and "None", in addition the results showed that family support, support from colleagues and bosses are very important to balance their quality of work and social life.
