description The objective of this research was to determine the impact of Wellness at work in the emotional, physical and social dimensions on the quality of life of the administrative staff of the National University of Chimborazo, due to the high rate of sedentary lifestyles and physical inactivity, which triggers a series of personal problems. In order to reach the proposed objective, a research with quantitative approach was carried out, with a field research design, of transversal character, of quasi-experimental type; a survey of professional quality of life (CVP-35) was used as a research instrument for a probabilistic sample, working with an intervention group of 30 administrators conformed by 23 women and 7 men and a control group of 10 people for a population of 70 administrators that conform the work group of the building A and H of the Dolorosa campus. The results showed that; workload, mental effort (stress), physical discomfort, pressure to maintain the quantity and quality of work, have direct impact of Wellness at work and indicate in the quality of life since they affect the balance of the physical, emotional and social dimensions addressed in the Wellness at work, since these factors raised in the CVP-35 had the highest frequency with the degree of dissatisfaction of "A lot" and "Quite a lot". In this way, through the intervention of a program of active breaks in 17 sessions during 5 tables and progressive times of 10, 15 and 20 minutes, it was possible to reduce their degree of dissatisfaction to a scale of "Some" and "None", in addition the results showed that family support, support from colleagues and bosses are very important to balance their quality of work and social life.

Para alcanzar el objetico planteado, se realizó una investigación con enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño de investigación de campo, de carácter transversal, de tipo cuasi experimental; se utilizó como instrumento de investigación una encuesta de calidad de vida profesional (CVP-35) para una muestra probabilística, trabajando con un grupo de intervención de 30 administradores conformado por 23 mujeres y 7 hombres y un grupo control de 10 personas para una población de 70 administradores que conforman el grupo de trabajo del edificio A y H del campus la Dolorosa. Los resultados mostraron que; la carga de trabajo, el esfuerzo mental (estrés), incomodidad física, presión por mantener la cantidad y calidad de trabajo, tiene influencia directa el wellness laboral e indicen en la calidad de vida ya que afectan en el equilibrio de las dimensiones físico, emocional y social abordada en el wellness laboral, ya que estos factores planteados en el CVP-35 tuvieron la mayor cantidad frecuencias con el grado de insatisfacción de “Mucho” y “Bastante”.
