| Sumario: | The current research aimed to analyze the importance of gender equity and the role that teachers perform at Francisco González Estrella School of Basic Education, in Sucúa canton. Understanding that in pre-scholar education it is relevant to generate equity and gender equality, because it is necessary to break stereotypes that can confuse students and teachers play such a significant role for the reason that they disseminate knowledge to students. Methodologically, the research was quantitative, with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and field design, the population was made up of 16 children and teachers of pre-scholar level; the techniques were the observation which was applied to the students and the survey that was directed to the teachers, through which it was possible to conclude that it was possible to know that the development of gender equity has endless benefits within the initial education, allows boys and girls to improve their self-concept, self-esteem, self-knowledge, comprehensive, emotional, intellectual, physical, social development and learning; It also allows to reduce and eradicate stereotypes. In the same way, it was identified that the role of the teacher benefits the development of gender equity in children of pre-scholar, since it provides strategies that improve the comprehension capacity in role plays, it also allows generating skills of adaptation in collaborative and integration games. |
