Estudio etnográfico de la vestimenta de la mujer Saraguro como significado de resistencia, periodo 2021-2023

This research study explores the Saraguro woman's clothing as a symbol of resistance, exploring its representation within the culture from 2021 to 2023. It seeks to understand the importance of preserving this clothing in a rapidly evolving world, highlighting its meaning rooted in ancestral traditions. It used a qualitative methodology to examine the distinctive characteristics of Saraguro women's traditional clothing. The study focused on deciphering the meaning and depth of the traditions associated with apparel and analyzing its symbolism as an expression of cultural resistance. It also explains the relevance of Saraguro women's clothing as a powerful symbol of artistic resistance. It has investigated the origin of their clothing and accessories, their evolution, and their deep meaning within the Saraguro culture. Furthermore, it has analyzed the impact of globalization and modernization on new generations, examining how these factors influence and modify traditional practices. Based on the studies, interviews, and observations carried out onsite, fundamental conclusions have been deduced. Consequently, the researcher set some recommendations to disseminate and preserve this valuable cultural heritage and promote appreciation and respect for the traditional clothing of Saraguro women.
