Riassunto:The research: Psychological consequences of unplanned pregnancy in university students, with two variables, part of the general objective to analyze the psychological consequences of unplanned pregnancy in university students. Study that corresponds to a bibliographic review with a transversal design and descriptive level. Unplanned pregnancy in university students at national, regional and global levels becomes a psychosocial and public health problem in sociocultural contexts. The research was developed from a non-probabilistic sample, composed of 30 intentionally selected documents, from a total of 135 scientific articles, published in the period 2014 to 2024, mainly in English, extracted from journals indexed in databases concerning Google Scholar, ResearchGate, APA PsycNet and others. In the methodological field, the following techniques were used: bibliographic review and review of documentary quality and, as instruments, the bibliographic review form and the Critical Review Form Quantitative Studies (CRF-QS), taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Regarding the results, it was evident that unplanned pregnancy in university students generates psychological consequences such as depression, anxiety, distress, sleep disorders, appetite disorders and others. Mental and behavioral disorders that negatively influence the development of daily activities and affect academic responsibilities. In conclusion, unplanned pregnancy in university students generates psychological consequences derived from the exposure of university students to risk factors such as lack of education, early sexual practice and consumption of alcohol and other narcotic and/or psychotropic substances mainly, predisposing students to unintended pregnancy.
