| Zusammenfassung: | Introduction: Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. Percutaneous coronary intervention is a fundamental therapeutic option in these patients, mainly because it reduces their mortality; however, it is not free of complications. Objective: To determine the complications post-cardiac intervention in patients with acute myocardial infarction, Carlos Andrade Marín Hospital, period January-July 2019 Method: a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study was carried out in a population of 214 patients with acute myocardial infarction admitted to adult emergencies, cardiology and hemodynamics. The information was obtained by reviewing reports and evolutions of medical records in the AS400 system of the Carlos Andrade Marín Hospital. Results: 32% of patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction were between 60 and 69 years old and 85% belonged to the male sex. 82,7% of them (177) underwent percutaneous cardiac intervention and of the latter 37,2% (66), had mediate or late complications. Conclusions: The most common immediate complication was acute renal insufficiency secondary to contrast in 21,2% and late complications, infection was the most common in 33,3% of the total patients. The arterial hypertension prevailed in 44% of patients as a risk factor related to the occurrence of complications. |
