La aplicación de las medidas de Protección y su influencia en los índices de maltrato infantil, en los procesos tramitados en la Unidad Judicial de la Familia, Mujer, Niñez y Adolecencia del cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo durante el período 2014.

This research allows us to know how the problem of child abuse and application of protective measures in the Ecuadorian legal system for the benefit of children living at risk develops, however the existing legislation is insufficient to know the various circumstances in the practice. This paper is designed to facilitate understanding of the laws that regulate and punish child abuse, its progress and inconsistencies in the legal system, especially to inform how it affects the application of protective measures in their indexes. This thesis consists of four chapters; the first is the frame of reference, which contains the problem statement, formulation and objectives. The second chapter is the theoretical framework, in which the theoretical foundation distributed in five units, the hypothesis and the operationalization of the variables is constituted. The third chapter is the methodological framework in which it is scientifically based research using different methods and techniques, interpretation of results to reach the testing of the hypothesis. In the fourth chapter are the conclusions and recommendations that could be reached after knowing the reality of the implementation of protection measures and their influence on the rates of child abuse in proceedings conducted in the Judicial Family Unity, Women, Children and Adolescents in the canton Riobamba, during the period 2014.
