| Özet: | Infertility is defined as the inability to complete a pregnancy in couples who have sexual intercourse without contraceptive measures, it occurs in both women and men. The objective of the research project was to use the hormonal study as a diagnostic method in male and female infertility. A population of 83 bibliographic references was used, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, where 72 bibliographic sources were selected. The type of research applied was descriptive, non-experimental documentary. The results obtained show that the useful hormonal profile in women is Follicle Stimulating, Luteinizing, Estradiol, Progesterone, Antimüllerian, Prolactin and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, and in men Follicle Stimulating, Luteinizing and Testosterone. The age of the woman is one of the important factors when evaluating a couple with fertility problems, the older the woman is, the greater the impossibility of pregnancy and the increase of gestational complications. In the evaluation of infertility, pathological antecedents, diabetes, obesity, arterial hypertension, consumption habits, in addition to laboratory tests, other studies such as ultrasound, computerized axial tomography, magnetic resonance, Papanicolaou and spermogram are also important. The techniques mostly used in laboratories are Electrochemiluminescence and Immunoassay. To take care of the stages of the whole laboratory process, generate the support and quality of results to be projected to the diagnosis, treatment and evolution of patients. |
