After reviewing the literature, it was found that platelet-rich plasma(PRP) is a concentrate of the patient's autologous blood that contains growth factors, particularly PDGF and TGF-b, promotes bone regeneration, clot stability and adhesive function after dental extraction In addition, PRP has also been shown to improve clot stability and wound healing, speed up bone regeneration and increased bone density and reduce pain after the procedure, with the most significant being its high cost, would be a limitation for patients who cannot afford it. |

Se recolectaron la cantidad de 534 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 86 artículos con promedio de conteo de citas y factor de impacto Scimago Journal Ranking, finalmente se obtuvo 73 artículos científicos con promedio de conteo de citas mayor a 1.5 y cumplían con las normas con factor de impacto (SJR) y Cuartil (Q) para la revisión sistemática. Después de revisar la literatura se encontró que el plasma rico en plaquetas (PRP) es un concentrado de sangre autóloga, es decir que se extrae sangre del propio paciente, este concentrado funciona como almacenamiento de factores de crecimiento, especialmente PDGF y TGF-b, los cuales influyen principalmente en la regeneración ósea, no presenta riesgo de infección o de reacciones inmunológicas y su obtención es un proceso simple y que no demanda mucho tiempo. Además, se encontró que el PRP brinda estabilidad al coágulo y funciona como adhesivo del mismo después de una extracción dental, lo que representa una mejora definitiva en la cicatrización de heridas, una regeneración más rápida del hueso y aumento de la densidad ósea, además de la disminución del dolor después del procedimiento.
