| Summary: | ABSTRACT: The research project revealed the efficacy of pre and postoperative physiotherapeutic interventions in patients with osteosarcoma through an analysis of 35 scientific articles obtained from academic and scientific databases that correspond to clinical trials and case reports were patients who underwent oncological rehabilitation treatment in which the effects of physiotherapeutic interventions on the clinical manifestations of the disease were verified. A rating scale called PEDro was used to demonstrate its methodological quality, where a score equal to or greater than seven was obtained, thus confirming its validity. The use of physiotherapeutic interventions as part of a multidisciplinary group in the treatment of patients with osteosarcoma, in the preoperative and postoperative phase, provides well-being to the patients and the possibility of improving their symptomatology of the disease, for which techniques such as massage were applied, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, acupuncture, cryotherapy, complex decongestive therapy, and exercise, to demonstrate the positive effects on this physiotherapeutic treatment shown by the authors who supported this research in table 2 of the final report. The research is concluded with the benefits described in each article analyzed, thus demonstrating its efficacy since all the trials showed that each of the techniques mentioned above achieved the reduction of pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression, in addition to improving mobility and muscle strength since each patient was independent despite having undergone surgical and prosthetic treatment. |
