| Summary: | The fundamental purpose of this research was to determine the appropriate Teaching Methods for the development of Reading Compression in the fifth year of Basic General Education "A" parallel in the Educational Unit "Fe y Alegría" in the Canton Riobamba. By means of the application of the studied methods, the were established fundamental pillars to achieve meaningful and functional learning, constituting an indispensable pedagogical tool to improve the educational process of children. Next, the reference framework was specified with an analysis on the subject by means for which the problem is proposed and the general and specific objectives were formulated. They constituted the intention of the research, then the theoretical framework in which makes reference to the works of theses of previous investigations that are involved to the variables of this investigation as they are the didactic methods and the reading comprehension reviewed in the archives of the library of the UNACH. The scientific and theoretical foundation of these two variables is described taking into account criteria of different authors. For the methodological framework it was stipulated a non-experimental and documentary design, the research was descriptive, field and bibliographic with a population of 34 children, the technique of data collection was Observation and the results were recorded in an observation sheet as an instrument. The tab item by item determining their percentages in this case the spreadsheet was used to place them in statistical tables in pastels with their analysis and interpretations, then the conclusions and recommendations were established from the results of the investigation. |
