Auditoría informática mediante COBIT 5 a la Cooperativa de Transportes Patria, Período 2020.

This research project describes the execution of a Computer Audit using the COBIT 5 methodology to the Patria Transport Cooperative, in the period 2020, located in the city of Riobamba, Chimborazo province, the same one that is dedicated to the provision of passenger transport services and parcels, the Cooperative uses technological resources to optimize the internal processes that contributed to meet the business objectives in a way efficient. The audit is based on the guidelines of COBIT 5 which is a set of best practices for both Corporate Governance and Administration in the management of information technologies, COBIT 5 is used to audit the management and control of information systems. Methodologically a deductive method was used, with a type of field and documentary research, mixed approach: qualitative and quantitative at the level of descriptive research, the research population was made up of the administrative and technical staff of the Headquarters of the Cooperativa de Transportes Patria in addition to evaluating the NOVO ERP Computer System; the techniques that have allowed to collect fundamental information are the survey, interview, and observation to determine the deficiencies in the management of information security, so it is concluded that the Computer Audit allows to guarantee the physical integrity of the equipment, information and technological infrastructure allowing to increase the security of the information of the Cooperative.
