Red de espacios públicos verdes integrados en la ciudad de Riobamba, propuesta de conexión urbana al parque lineal Chibunga

This research project proposes a net of integrated green public in Riobamba city through a master plan to achieve an urban connection with the Chibunga Linear Park, thus improving the deficit of green areas and functional public spaces. Through the investigative analysis, information gathering, analysis of the references, and diagnosis of urban systems such as mobility, public spaces, green urban, equipment, and edge, each system is according to the scale. In contrast, the analysis is macro, meso, and micro scales. With this process, data are obtained to determine the current situation and assess the problems and conclusions of the analyzed systems. With the data of the diagnostic analysis, applied guidelines are obtained in the urban proposal. As a result, the master plan is achieved, where each of the proposals is evidenced, considering ordinances, intervention levels, and urban pieces. The master plan is materialized in a new image of the study zone where the role of the proposed axes is visualized, an increase of the green area percentage, connected public spaces, the connection of spaced through mobility strategies, and new architecture through the phases to the construction according to the level of the intervention, decisions that have been made to contribute with the city.
