Summary:This research was carried out at the "21 de Julio" School of Basic Education in Canton the Triunfo in the Province of Guayas between 2015 and 2016. Students, teachers, and parents of the 7th Year of Basic Education took part in this study, taking into account the number of children in the course as a measurement parameter, and as the main purpose, to determine the influence of sex education on meaningful learning in learners. For this, it was important the determination of the volume of knowledge on the subject, and the level of teaching in the meaningful learning in the classes of Natural Sciences, and finally the influence of sex education on students was analyzed. The research was justified because it contains a theoretical value, practical utility, social importance, and the net benefits it generates. It is sustained because of the validity of traditional education regarding sexual education, which only focuses on knowing the sexual organs in a superficial but not deep way without making them understand the children what is the proper behavior they should have in their sexuality. Methodologically the research was non-experimental, it was done in a descriptive way and a type of cross-sectional study, a field research was applied with 40 beneficiaries, which were 15 girls and 25 children. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The results concluded that there are no talks about sexual education in the students’ homes and also there is a low level of knowledge in the teachers with respect to the subject.
