| Итог: | SUMMARY In this investigation, some of the legal effects that originated the issuance of Decree No. 883 of October 2, 2019, by the President of the Republic, when fuel subsidies were eliminated and it originated a series of social protests, in which the indigenous sector, workers, transporters, among others, participating, generating serious confrontations between members of the public force such as the Armed Forces and the National Police, with the people who participated in certain protests. For this reason, the work purpose was to identify whether or the mobilizations of October 2019, in order to defend their rights was or was not a crime to stop public services. To fulfill the proposed objectives, the documentary bibliographic research was used, which allowed access to certain data that show that several citizens who participated in the protests, if they were prosecuted for the crime of paralyzing public services; concluding that in certain cases there would have been sufficient elements and evidence to initiate these criminal proceedings; But it was also evidenced that other cases, the arrests and the initiation of the process were carried out in order to limit the right to social protest, which is exposed in the investigation.
