সংক্ষিপ্ত:This research seeks to analyze the relationship of prior knowledge with the learning of the electrostatics in students of second year of bachillerato in an educational institution called "Riobamba" term September 2016 -March 2017. It will help students to improve their level of knowledge, since it is very important the teaching process learning with a good base of knowledge, to analyze references could clarify doubts and observe the relationship of foreknowledge with the learning of electrostatics, it seeks to highlight the importance that has the structured study of prior knowledge of students enrolled in the second year of secondary education in the subject of physics. This has been taken as reference the theory of learning significant Ausubel (2007) and sorne aspects presented by Lopez (2009), which allows to structure and describe the knowledge of students in a systematic way. For the realization of this research is applied the method scientific, the design of research is quasi-experimental, is worked with 26 students with which is performed an evaluation to collect information, these data were analyzed through the coefficient of correlation r of Pearson. Of the analysis of them data is can demonstrate that there is a relationship medium positive between them two variable, as recommendation is can suggest give it importance to them knowledge previous that allow the learning significant.
