| Tóm tắt: | ABSTRACT: One of the problems that affects everyone is infectious diarrhea caused by rotavirus, however, this mainly affects children under 5 years of age in large numbers, therefore, it is necessary to know the diagnostic techniques for the determination of rotavirus. Due to this situation, this study aimed to investigate the laboratory techniques used in the diagnosis of rotavirus in children through a literature review. This research was descriptive, with a non-experimental field design, a qualitative approach, a crosssectional time sequence and a retrospective chronology of events. The research was developed through a bibliographic, documentary review where the study population was made up of all 129 scientific documents that address the subject of the study and that are located in databases such as Scielo, Redalyc, Elseiver, Medigraphic, PubMed, etc. The present study was carried out through bibliographic reviews that contain a validity between 5 and 10 years of being published, it is worth mentioning that the sample was made up of 50 publications, which are related to the characterization of diagnostic techniques for the determination of rotavirus in children. This work allows us to conclude that the technique most used by several authors is immunochromatography due to its high sensitivity and specificity in acute episodes due to high viral excretion, it is low cost, easy to implement and quick to analyze. |
