Análisis radiográfico periapical de premolares de tres raíces con fines endodónticos

ABSTRACT: Root curvatures and radiological examinations play a very important role during root canal treatment. This research aims to carry out a detailed analysis to have a clearer and more consistent idea of the shape and size of the root canals of 3-root premolars. , the purpose of the study is to determine the root curvature, through the analysis of schneider through a descriptive, observational and cross-sectional methodology using conventional radiographs and tomographic sections, donated by Dr. Veronica Guamán Hernández, professor of the chair of imaging of the Dentistry career obtained from the provinces, Chimborazo, Tungurahua, Puerto Francisco de Orellana, Cotopaxi, Pichincha, Loja, Pastaza in 2020, which obtained results of 23.8% with severe curvatures of the mesial root, 95% with moderate curvatures of the distal root and 44.3% presented slight or moderate curvatures in the palatal root. It also determined in which third entrance of the root canals they are in and their average length, concluding that the root curvature depends on the shape and is similar to the upper molars, that is to say that if they present a pronounced root bifurcation, the degree of curvature will be high.
